What a hectic day!!! :) With me at work yesterday with an early start Mag had a bike ride seeing the sunrise along the prom and being a bit jealous of missing that I decided to see it for myself today. So I left the house at 5:45 leaving Mag in bed, taking my camera I headed down the hill to the seafront just in time to see a big red ball rising above the sea – beautiful :) I then headed along the prom to Jacobs Ladder, up the steps and on to The Dip, taking pics all along the route. It was down onto the prom again and out past the golf course. The calm waters of the River Deben by the Martello tower was lovely and I even saw a seal :) Then approaching Felixstowe Ferry I spotted Mag coming the other way!!! We had a look at the jetty and around the boat yard we biked back to Ferry Road onto Gulpher Road to Candlet Lane across the fields to Trimley. We then took the Lane toward Trimley Marshes which was very pretty with the yellow rape nearly in full bloom. Instead of going to the marshes we headed up to Felixstowe docks where we stopped for a snack watching the very busy docks in action – never seen so many Lorries!!! We then had to cross the dock train level crossing and continued to the dock viewing point and onto the beach by the River Orwell. The tide was very low and I walked to the end of the breakwater to take some pics. Suffolk wild life trust where setting up tents for a day in the nature reserve for kids in local schools – lucky them :) It was then back along the prom and home – a top 3hrs 15 mins out covering 15/16 miles – a top bike ride :)
